Day 18 Lauzerte to Moissac

did not sleep very well last night I woke up at 0300 and my left kneecap was really hurting, I have applied vast amounts of Ibuleve gel again and it has taken the edge off it, I will take some painkillers before bed and I hope it will have eased by tomorrow.
We had a fine cooked breakfast and were on the road by 0830, the forecast for today was for  sunshine and we were not to be let down. Below is the view from my bedroom window.

Our host dropped us back at the Camino, at this point it is worth pointing out that this route is called the GR65 not a Camino, even though it is a pilgrimage route to Santiago.

There he was again.

Sheila fell in love with this house

It was getting very hot by mid morning.

Sorry for being a bore yet again, but the countryside was stunning and we were enjoying every minute
of it.

After a much needed break we pressed on.

Please note lunch !sicking out of my rucksack.
There he was again, that beautiful walking legend.

Florence joined us for most of the walk.
It was time for lunch.

It was getting very hot and we still had a long way to go and my leg was really hurting.

We came across a stream and Sheila placed a stone for Mark.

We also placed a stone for Gregory's friend who is very ill in hospital, we are thinking of you Gregory and your dear friend George.

At last we arrived in Moissac, I was exhausted, I needed a sleep.

I love that photo
We walked into the square and we bumped into, have a guess ?

What a car!!!

It was time to have a look around the cathedral .

A nun was chanting, it was beautiful, she was leading about 50 children through the cathedral

We walked around the cloisters.

DOB.

Can you spot the socks ?

We checked into our hotel and then  it was time for dinner.

Stats for today

Walked 20 miles

200 miles to go

260 miles walked.

Elevation gain 2067 ft

Elevation loss 2047 ft.

Time for bed now I am exhausted .
