Day 12 Figeac to Cajarc

I had a good nights sleep I am pleased to say, which is just as well with the long walk we had a ahead of us.
I was to walk the first 5 miles on my own.

I was soon climbing again.

The weather was really beautiful and as always so were the views.

I caught up with the lads at Faycelles.

After some refreshment we moved on.

We stopped for lunch in the middle of nowhere, as usual within seconds out of their rucksacks appeared cheese wine salami bread and other tasty morsels.

Didiers trotter looks a bit nasty

On we went, it was beginning to get quite hot.

We passed through a car boot type sale

We had been walking for 17 miles and I have to be honest I was totally exhausted.
France's answer to Stonehenge.

We were walking at a very fast pace, it was beginning to tell on me but I was determined to keep going.

Dog on a blog.

At last Cajarc came into view, I have never been so pleased in my life.

I limped into town and had some water and a beer before checking into my hotel, needless to say it was right on the edge of town to add to my woes.

We met for dnner at 1945hrs and had a really great laugh, we all kept yawning throughout the meal.

Stats for today

48000 steps

Walked 19.78 miles

Climbed 2425 feet

Descended 2572 feet

Distance covered so far 159 miles

Distance to go 275 miles

Today has been a long testing day, my ribs are killing me and my left little toe has a pulse of its own.

  4. Loving your blog, PJ. Am recovering from 15 miles of Moonwalk in London on Saturday night - pounding the pavements really took it out of me, so redoubled respect for your daily achievements. Buen Camino! X
