Day 15 Rubbernecking in Cahors

Just my luck, there was a  huge market today outside my hotel, the noise throughout the night as they were setting it up was incredible, it sounded like a street party.
I got up at 0730 and for the first time in 2 weeks did not rush, it was bliss, I got all my washing done and generally sorted out my kit.

There is a beautiful indoor market next to the hotel.

Dog on a blog time, what a show off!!!!

Time for some Rubbernecking.

The Pont Valentre is 14th century fortified bridge that leads out of the town to the west, apparently it took 70 years to build,  we will be walking over it tomorrow as we recommence the Camino.

Time for spot the socks, no zooming in to see if you can spot them, a tough one today.

Just when I was thinking I was going to have a quiet day my phone rang and it was Jean informing me it was time for an aperitif and lunch and I was not going to argue with him.

I met Sheila and Jeremy at 1745 at the station, it was really to see them both ,did not take them long to settle in.

After a few welcoming drinks it was time for another quiet evening.

Sadly I said goodbye to Gregory, his Camino ended in Cahors, I have a feeling our paths will cross again, Buen Camino Gregory.

Even though I have had a day off, I have managed to walk 9 miles.

Welł so much for a quiet relaxing day!!!  I have loved it and I feel so much better for a day off.
