We were soon back into the countryside, I was feeling a bit sluggish but I soon picked up,
What a beast.
On the Portuguese Camino we walked through endless forests of eucalyptus trees, on this walk it is the mighty Oak.
Civilisation at last and the end was in sight.Yet again we did not pass through any villages of significance.
We had been walking for 6 hours when we arrived in Arzarq-Arraziguet.
Dog on a blog.
What a beauty.
We walked over the bridge into l'Adour and found s restaurant and got our boots off.
Sadly due to time constraints we got a taxi to Arzacq-Arraziguet which is 18 miles down the Camino.I felt a bit of a cheat but we have only got 5 days left to cover 6 stages and we have to get our flights on Thursday.
We checked into our hotel did our washing then met Jean and Jean Michelle, it was so lovely to see them and we have all decided to walk into St Jean together.
We said goodbye to the lads at 2230 and retired to bed.
Today has been a bit easier on me apart from dreadful hay fever sadly the pills and drops are not making any difference.
Stats for today
Walked 18 miles
Steps taken 42000
We have got two more long walks to face.
Now that Peter is my kind of cheeseboard!!! X
ReplyDeleteIt was superb
DeleteI recognise that dog! Good to find your blog and I shall follow it closely as I'm section walking the Camino from Switzerland to Santiago after completely the Camino Inglès last summer. We've nearly walked across CH, then are going to cycle part of France and are trying to decide whether to go the Le Puy or Vezelay routes through France. Your blog will be very interesting to follow. Buen camino and a well deserved glass or three.
