Within minutes of getting off the bus we were climbing yet again!!!
We were walking into strong winds that were slowing us down and it was really cold.
As with all Camino's there were lots of small little piles of stones, each one placed had its own story to tell.
We were not going to pass through any towns or villages today and we hardly saw anyone, yet yesterday we met hundreds of walkers.
Still we climbed.
We stopped after 5 miles for a break at the Auberge at Saugues.
By now it was getting really cold and it was time to put the gloves on.
We stopped at the chapel at St Roch.
My left foot started to play up again so we stopped for lunch whilst I sorted my trotters out.
What a daunting sign if you are walking all the way to Santiago.
We started to descend again
Donkey on a blog time if you look carefully you can see the only dog we saw today.
Sheila at work gave me a stone to place in memory off our colleague and friend Grant who sadly passed away 2 years ago, so we stopped at a cross where the views were lovely and Barney placed the stone and we thought of Grant then quietly moved on.
There was not a lot of sights today worthy of photographing ,but as always the views were stunning.
After 14 miles we arrived at St Alban sur Limagnole and checked into our hotel, memories of the Adams family came flooding back.
We went into town and had a look around the church.
Sadly Barney's Camino ended today and Heather from the RAF Benevolent Fund is joining me for the next 6 days, Al was due to come today as well, but sadly due to family commitments at the last moment could not make it, you will be missed Al.
A huge thank you to Barney for helping me through the first 3 days, have a good flight back tomorrow.
Distance covered today 14 miles
Climbed 1400 feet
32810 steps
