We had been walking for about 30 minutes, when the legend appeared, what is so sweet about him is that you hear him before you see him, you can hear all his doggy biscuits rattling around in his backpack.
Sadly we will not see him again as we have to move on, I will miss him and I just pray he makes it to Santiago, which is another 600 miles!! Having got to know him and watching the way he looks after his master, I somehow think he will, what a wonderful friend to have, Buen Camino Boolou you lovely beautiful dog .
Spot the socks time.
The only town we passed through was Manciet.
Like idiots we did not stop for a drink or food.
By mid morning it was getting really hot.
We stopped at Eglise-de-Hopital.
By now it was getting very hot indeed.
I put my Shemagh on to protect my neck.
Our hotel was half a mile outside of Nogaro.
After we had checked in we went straight to our room and as per usual washed all our clothes, I will use anything I can as a washing line.
After we had sorted our kit out we had lunch.
Today had been a tough day for me, I think I hit the proverbial wall, my knee hurt, I kept getting this awful pain under my right foot , I was tired plus I had terrible hay fever and it all seemed to catch up with me. Martin is keeping my spirits up.
Well tomorrow is another day and I have only got six more days walking left.
Stats for today
Walked 13.50 miles
Distance to go 108 miles
Distance covered 340 miles
And here he is:

ReplyDeleteYou're amazing!
ReplyDeleteIf you get hay-fever in your eyes I used to find and heard it advised recently that try wrap around glasses, stops pollen getting at your eyes.
